17.05.2020 Sunday walks and suturing

One of the highlights of my stay and Patrick's now prolonged stay here on this island have been the beautiful walks around where we live.  On this particular day we came across yet another new little village with the best fried bananas ever!  We indulged.  After the walk I was called to suture.  Poor man had been feeding his pigs and slipped and fell right on a sharp metal gate.  I did the best I could recalling my general surgical skills!

Beautiful walk a few kilometers away from Ambovo.  (The mountain in the background became our hiking project the following weekend!)

Picturesque town with lots of children admiring our exotic looks :)

The rice harvest has nearly finished and work now has shifted more to brick making

Hand made beautiful symmetric work

Probably the best fried bananas I have ever had

This really looks like it hurt quite a bit.  A good dose of some local anesthesia and careful adaptation of the proper layers and this man was back on his way.  The obligatory tetanus shot also followed.
